Cypro T
Composition: Cyproheptadine HCl 2mg + Tricholine Citrate 275mg + Sorbitol Solution (70%) Base
Cypro T is a palatable appetite stimulant and liver tonic syrup. Cyproheptadine stimulates appetite via antihistamine action, while Tricholine Citrate supports liver function, fat metabolism and hepatoprotection.
Cypro T is used for the treatment, control, prevention and improvement of the following conditions.
- Poor appetite and reduced food intake in adults and children
- Failure to thrive in paediatric patients
- Nutritional deficiency with poor appetite
- Fatty liver and hepatic insufficiency
- Anorexia management (non-anorexia nervosa)
- Adjunct therapy in malnutrition and weight gain
Dosage should always be as per physician's advice. Typical recommended dosage:

The following side effects are possible but not everyone experiences them. Consult your doctor if any persist or worsen.
- Drowsiness (especially at start of therapy)
- Dry mouth and thirst
- Dizziness
- Increased appetite (expected therapeutic effect)
- Rarely: confusion in elderly patients
